THE BEGINNING OF THE JOURNEY

Francis Quarm's journey into watches began in 2009 with a £50 Aqua Master watch. What started as a personal interest developed into an understanding of watches, jewellery, buying, selling, sourcing and, ultimately, building a luxury business.

Over the years, the journey has included successes, setbacks and periods of rebuilding, but the ambition remained consistent: to create a jewellery company capable of operating locally while thinking globally. That philosophy would eventually become central to LKB.

FOUNDER OF LKB JEWELLERS

Francis Quarm founded what would become LKB Jewellers and Local Kettle Brothers, establishing a brand specialising in luxury watches, fine jewellery and bespoke creations. Today, LKB operates from its London headquarters in Hatton Garden, one of the world's most recognised jewellery districts.

Under Francis Quarm's direction, LKB Jewellers has developed a strong relationship with contemporary British culture. The brand has created jewellery and worked with professional athletes, musicians, entertainers and public figures while continuing to serve private clients from the UK and internationally.

LKB's bespoke work ranges from diamond pendants and statement chains to engagement rings, championship rings and highly personalised jewellery carrying deeper meanings for the people wearing them. For Francis, jewellery should be more than an accessory. Every piece has the opportunity to tell a story.

LUXURY WATCHES

Luxury watches have remained central to Francis Quarm's career and the development of LKB Jewellers. The company sources and trades timepieces from many of the world's leading watchmakers, including Rolex, Audemars Piguet, Patek Philippe and Richard Mille.

LKB's watch business is built around specialist knowledge, sourcing capability and personal relationships with clients. Whether sourcing a particular reference or advising a client on their next acquisition, the objective is to provide a personalised luxury experience rather than simply completing a transaction.

FROM LONDON TO AN INTERNATIONAL CLIENT BASE

Although LKB's roots remain firmly in London, the company's outlook has become increasingly international. The brand has worked with clients across markets including the United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Nigeria and South Africa, with its growing international activity reflecting Francis Quarm's belief that a local business can develop a truly global presence.

LKB FOUNDATION & COMMUNITY

Alongside the commercial development of LKB Jewellers, Francis Quarm has placed increasing importance on community impact through the LKB Foundation. The Foundation was established to use the reach of the LKB brand to support communities and raise awareness around important health and social issues.

A particular focus has been encouraging blood donation and increasing awareness of the need for more donors from Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities.

When LKB opened its London showroom to the public, the company chose not to mark the occasion with a conventional luxury launch party. Instead, LKB hosted a blood-testing and donor-registration initiative, bringing the jewellery business and its community mission together.

BUILDING A BRITISH LUXURY BRAND

Francis Quarm's ambition for LKB is to continue developing a modern British luxury house with a distinctive identity. That means maintaining the personal relationships and cultural understanding that helped establish Local Kettle Brothers while continuing to improve the craftsmanship, service and international reach associated with LKB Jewellers.

Rather than losing the personality behind the original Local Kettle Brothers identity as the company grows, his objective is to preserve it. Personal service. Creativity. Trust. Culture. Community. And an understanding that luxury should still feel personal.

THE FUTURE OF LKB

The next chapter for Francis Quarm and LKB Jewellers is centred around continued expansion, creative development and establishing LKB as a recognised international jewellery and watch company.

From bespoke jewellery created in London to international client appointments and community initiatives through the LKB Foundation, the goal remains to build something capable of leaving a lasting legacy. For Francis, LKB has never simply been about watches or diamonds. It is about creating something that lasts.
